Leap: A Tale of the Last Days delayed again
Filmmaker Chris Tempel was excited to announce a release date for his third movie in the Leap series, Leap: A Tale of the Last Days. The film was a long time coming with the project originally begun in 2012. Over the years, the film making process has experienced many delays. Originally, Leap was supposed to premier sometime around early summer of 2024, but the movie still was unavailable as of January 2025.
In March 2025, the release date was officially announced. Mr. Tempel expected the movie to be out for purchase on Amazon on April 13th and released the video on the right announcing this exciting development to his viewers. To discover more about why the producer had to postpone the release date watch his latest video entitled “Leap Streaming Update”.
Summary
Leap: a Tale of the Last Days is not a continuation of the story line contained in the first two movies in the series. Leap 3 centers around Blake Owens who doesn’t believe in the importance of religion until he is reunited with his high school sweetheart, who shows him some prophecies from the Bible that detail the events to come. Blake’s new faith brings him into conflict with his family and spurs decisions that will effect the family’s future. Leap: a Tale of the Last Days promises to be a movie that will change the way you view the End Times. Both trailers are available on the left.
Directed by: Christopher Tempel

Project Timeline
Work on a sequel to Leap: Rise of the Beast (2011) began in 2012 under the name of Leap: Revelation. this movie was to continue the story line set forth in the first two films. However, Leap: Revelation was never created. One of the reasons being that Mr. Tempel had ambitious goals he wished to reach while producing his third leap movie but he lacked the funds needed to carry those plans out quickly. Leap: a Tale of the Last Days features a different story line with different characters, primarily because it was filmed over a decade after Leap: Rise of the Beast and several of the second film’s actors had moved out of the area.
Major work on Leap: a Tale of the last Days began in 2022 the script was prepared and some of the graphics work was completed. The 19-day shoot took place in 2023. During 2024 Chris Tempel brought the movie into its final form. A behind the scenes look at the film’s timeline is available above.
Our Predictions
We expect Leap to be exiting. The entire concept of a apocalyptic thriller being paired with martial arts is novelty not to mention being filled with action. The series features a martial art called parkour which focuses on leaping and dodging obstacles more so than active fighting. The original leap relied heavily on its parkour action scenes to raise the film’s appeal. We expect that Leap: a Tale of the Last Days will be filled with more of those fast paced chase scenes that parkour provides. Another improvement we expect is the overall film quality. During 2022 Chris Tempel experimented with CGI graphics which may definitely raise the movie’s quality over that of its predecessors. Based on what we’ve seen Leap 3 will provide an exciting apocalyptic thriller on a level never seen before.

Where Can I Watch Leap 3?
As of April 13, 2025, Leap: a Tale of the Last Days is available for purchase directly from the producer on DVD and Blu-ray. The movie is expected to be released on to Amazon for rent and purchase sometime around the middle of May 2025. After that the film will come to Tubi, likely a few months after the release on Amazon. Lastly, Mr. Tempel has announced his plans to upload the entire movie to YouTube; although this is probably going to happen a couple of years after the movie first comes to streaming platforms.
