Christmas Jars was released in 2019 and is based on a book written by Jason Wright. The main character, Hope Jensen, is trying to make a big break as a journalist. One night after having her apartment broken into, someone mysteriously leaves her a jar full of money. On the glass is written the words “Christmas Jar”. This begins a whirlwind search for where the jar came from and the meaning behind it.
This endearing story of love and redemption will surely touch your heart as Hope discovers the mystery of the Christmas Jars.
Christmas Jars — a BYUTV original — was filmed in Ontario, Canada. Individual places of interest present in the film include Glebe Community Centre, Patterson’s Creek Park, and the Rideau Canal Skateway, where the film’s skating scenes were recorded.
