ALF (1986-1990)

The Tanners are just an average American family living in suburban California until one fateful day they receive a mysterious visitor. This visitor from outer space accidentally crashes into the Tanner’s garage roof. This isn’t your average alien, his name is Gordon Shumway, but the Tanner’s name him ALF (Alien Life Form) Alf is small, hairy, and has a nose the shape of Nevada! He’s also got a big appetite, both for adventure and trouble. You might say Alf’s sense of humor is out of this world!

At first, the family wants nothing to do with the little space cadet, but it turns out Alf can’t return to his home planet, Melmac, in his broken spaceship. So with nowhere else to go the Tanner’s adopt him temporarily. Meanwhile, Alf can’t help getting into trouble- from squabbles with the family cat, Lucky, to near run-ins with the neighbors, the Otmoniks. But despite all this, Alf has an endearing side which wins the affection of his hosts, earning him a place in the family.

Cautions: Rock music is the greatest thing to watch out for. A few episodes contain rock music montages.
